The Sun in April revealed M&S was set to ditch bulky own-brand pieces of furniture, including garden furniture.

Now shoppers can snap up items with a brilliant 40 per cent off – potentially saving buyers hundreds of pounds.

However, shoppers are reminded to compare prices before shopping as they may be able to find equivalent discounts elsewhere.

You can use Google Shopping or tools like Kelkoo to compare prices.

What items are in the sale?

We’ve rounded up some of the best picks.

The sale includes some stylish “Loxton 1” Slim Bedside Table, selling for £35.40 – slashed 40 per cent off its previous tag of £59 – a saving of £23.60 better off.

Buyers looking to redecorate could also purchase a new “Round 4 Seater” Dining Table for £77.40 – another 40 per cent reduction with full price being £129.

Alternatively, buyers in the market for garden living sets could look to the “marlow 7 seater rattan effect” option, which is also £1189.30.

The 40 per cent party continues with the garden “bestseller” – two garden armchairs – for £77.40 rather than £129, a £51.60 saving.

Also marked down 40 per cent is the “Melbourne 6 seater garden corner sofa set” for those keen on entertaining in outdoor spaces over summer.

Quick customers can claim it for £599.40, nearly £400 off the previous £999.

The website has a list of dozens of other garden armchairs, benches, sofas and tables all with big discounts.

Along with garden furniture, M&S is also pulling the pin on own-brand beds, sofas, wardrobes and dining tables – meaning they’re all on sale too.

Following the big sale of its own-brand items, M&S plans to instead work with third-party brands on furniture.
