Unicorn World coming to OKC Convention Center

Unicorn World, the traveling event, is galloping to the Oklahoma City Convention Center for the firs time. It promises to bring magic to children and adults.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Unicorn World, the traveling event, is galloping to the Oklahoma City Convention Center for the first time. It promises to bring magic to children and adults.

It's described as interactive, immersive, and magical.

First, families enter through the rainbow arch.

"This is the first thing that kids see, and they're already jumping up and down," said Caitlin Owens, the show director of Unicorn World.

Then, they enter the enchanted forest.

"The first unicorns our families come to will be our life-size white unicorn," said Owens. "Kids can pet them."

As they go through, children bring the forest to life with magic.

"This is part of our fairy village," said Owens. "You can't see it yet but there will be a life-sized fairy house set up."

To get their creativity flowing, the event offers arts and crafts. To make things extra colorful, a team of face painters are standing by.

Then, it's time for Rainbow Acres.

"This is where families will meet the team of rainbow unicorns, the kids have helped them get their magic back at this point," said Owens. "Blaze the master maker, he's popular."

There will be live fairies and mermaids.

"We also have a new bubble magician," said Owens. "She'll be putting on a special bubble show."

To get the wiggles out, there will be ball pits, bounce houses, games, and of course, unicorn rides.

Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are only available in advance. They are $30 each. Kids under two-years-old get in for free.

Owens said the golden age range is three to seven years old.

"The boys love it too. Even the older brothers who swear they were forced here, you catch them running around with a smile on their face," said Owens.
