US elections 2024: Biden is best person to take on Trump, says his campaign

Incumbent President Joe Biden is the best person to take on Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate in the November elections, his campaign said on Friday.

The president's in this race. You've heard him say that time and time again, chair of the Biden-Harris Campaign, Jen O'Malley Dillon, told MSNBC in an interview, a day after Trump accepted his nomination to be the Republican presidential candidate for the November general elections.

Many Democrats at the highest levels want Trump to bow out of the 2024 election to make way for a new nominee and try to prevent widespread party losses in November.

Dillon insisted that Biden is committed to fighting against Trump.
