9-year-old drowns in Vermont lake
Bennington police said a child drowned in Lake Paran on Friday.
NORTH BENNINGTON, Vt. (NEWS10) -- Bennington police said a child drowned in Lake Paran on Friday. Police said they received a report around noon of a child who was last seen around 10:30 a.m. near the water.
Rescue crews rushed to the lake and found the 9-year-old unresponsive under the water. They performed lifesaving measures, but the child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
