Daslan is a minimalist space located in São Paulo, Brazil, designed by Marina Salles Arquitetura e Interiores. Daniela Salles, inspired by her multicultural roots and international experiences, infuses her designs with a blend of organic forms and architectural precision, creating jewelry that resembles wearable sculptures. The showroom design reflects this fusion, utilizing stone, wood, and metal to evoke the nomadic style of the founder’s heritage. The showroom floor is covered in Cumaru wood, while mineral paint, a mix of water, earth, and natural pigments by Studio Passalacqua, coats the walls. This choice pays homage to the ephemeral nature of materials like sand. The centerpiece of the space is a sculptural counter designed by Marina Salles.

Made from wood and Travertine Navona marble, it balances stability and suspension, featuring a cantilevered base that appears to float. Brazilian designer Fernando Jaeger’s Copa chairs complement this setup. A glass sheet atop the counter displays the jewelry collection, with brass handles by bellogesto adding a touch of gold, reminiscent of the jewelry itself. Inside, display trays mimic architectural patterns on a smaller scale. Lighting is crucial in showcasing the jewelry. The Li Horizontal pendant by Adriana Yazbek, with a metal structure and Kozo paper, provides soft, diffuse light, minimizing shadows and reflections. This lighting design, created with Lightworks by Airton Pimenta, enhances the jewelry’s visibility with a neutral color temperature.

Marina Salles also designed unique wall mirrors and a table for the showroom. The mirrors feature a hand-carved wooden base and a circular frame, allowing tilt without a traditional pin system. The table, made of Freijó wood, integrates aesthetics and functionality, with LED diffusers in the beveled frame providing soft lighting for clients. Travertine Navona monoliths, topped with square glass domes, serve as jewelry displays, adding to the showroom’s refined aesthetic. Functional spaces include a balcony for supplier meetings, furnished with a Canela table by Fernando Prado, Copa chairs by Fernando Jaeger, and a Zara Home sideboard.

The landscaping, in collaboration with Land N Citi, features metallic vases with corten paint, bringing greenery indoors while maintaining privacy. A niche in the main environment offers comfortable seating with rustic silk upholstery. To manage afternoon sunlight, linen curtains from Uniflex Anália Franco separate the hall and balcony. The reception area, inspired by artists like Richard Serra and Amilcar de Castro, features a table made from Travertine Navona marble and a wooden beam, topped with a delicate crystal glass sheet.
