I swear by a bargain buy from Amazon that’ll get your patio sparkling – it gets rid of algae & mould with no scrubbing
A WOMAN has revealed that she has found a bargain buy that she swears by to get her patio sparkling.
So with the weather heating up, if you want to get your garden summer ready, then you’ve come to the right place.
And don’t worry, there’s barely any faff with this, as according to cleaning fan Indianna, thanks to this cheap product, which you can order now from Amazon, there’s no scrubbing involved.
Posting on social media, the proud homeowner shared her simple trick that totally transforms her patio slabs.
She explained that over winter, her patio had “turned pretty green”.
As a result, she reached for her “go-to cleaning product” – Patio Magic.
This liquid concentrate kills mould, moss and algae and can be used on hard surfaces, indoors and outdoors.
This biodegradable cleaner is suitable to treat patios, fences and driveways and works in a few days but lasts months.
Indianna explained that you can buy the stuff from “most garden centres and places like Homebase” and revealed that it “has to be diluted with water”.
Thrilled with the cheap buy, Indianna explained: “It’s so easy to do, you put it in a watering can, pour it on, and leave it – that is literally it. You don’t have to scrub it or do anything with it.”
The gardening fan shared that she uses a broom with this product, as she “finds it easier” to spread it around the patio.
The homeowner then warned: “Do not get any of this on your grass by the way, as it will make it go brown.”
According to Indianna: “It takes two to four days to see results, so do not expect to see any results straight away.
“Once you’ve completely covered the surface and soaked it all, you just leave it and over the space of a couple of days, it eats away at all the algae and green mould.”
How to repair broken patio slabs
THE paving specialists at Simply Paving told Fabulous how you can repair broken patio slabs, without the faff.
The experts advised: “If you have a loose paving slab, then it’s unlikely it can be lifted straight by hand. Instead, you will probably need a hammer and chisel to prise the paver free of your patio.
“To remove loose paving slabs without damaging your flagstones, carefully chip away at the mortar around the paving slab with the plugging chisel and rubber mallet until the slab comes completely loose.
“Then, slide the spade into the gap left by the mortar and prise the paver free of the patio.
“As you lift it up, place a short piece of timber underneath the spade to act as a lever, making it easier for you while protecting the slab underneath.
“When the paver starts to give, place the cylindrical wood underneath it and roll the slab out of the patio.”
The savvy woman then shared: “A few days later I did go in with water, washing-up liquid and a broom – I just did this as an extra step, but if your patio just has algae, then you wouldn’t need to do this – you would be able to just pour the Patio Magic solution on and just leave it to do its work.”
Moments later, Indianna proudly showed off her clean patio, with no nasty green marks in sight.

Sellhousefast.uk carried out a study and consulted 36 estate agents, garden designers and property professionals from across the UK.
And the experts revealed the garden feature which adds the most value to a property is a shed.

To this, Indianna confirmed: “Once it’s dry, yes, but pets cannot go near it while it’s wet.”
July gardening jobs
The Sun's Gardening Editor Veronica Lorraine, has shared the tasks you need to tackle this July in your garden.
1. Prune Wisteria
You should only prune back Wisteria twice a year – and July – or mid summer – is one of those times. After flowering cut back long side shoots to around seven buds.five or six leaves.
2. Pinch out tomatoes
Your tomatoes should be really picking up – so pinch out all the side shoots without flowers – and remove all the leaves that are shading the tomatoes – this will give them maximum light and energy.
3. Keep weeding
Hand weeding and hoeing the surface of the soil will keep your weeds under check.
4. Feed Dahlias
To keep Dahlias flowering until Autumn, you must keep feeding them weekly with a liquid fertliser high in potassium – which encourages blooms.
5. Keep deadheading plants
Keep up with deadheading your bedding plants and perennials – so they keep coming back for the season. With roses make sure you’re deadheading back to a set of five leaves, giving you the best chance of them flowering again.
6. Check on your pond
If you’re lucky enough to have a pond – make sure it’s clear of algae, which can really bloom when the sun beats down.
7. Feed your lawn
Whether that’s with a liquid feed or granules. If you’ve chosen granules try to get them down before the rain comes, so they soak into the soil.
8. Tend to strawberry plants
Cut the leaves off strawberry plants after you’ve picked them – leaving the crown untouched – which should help with next years fruit.
9. Sow extra seeds
July weather is a great time to sow seeds as the warm soil and sunshine is great for germination. Try carrots, winter broccoli and other brassicas.
10. Move young plants into soil
Get any young plants you’ve got left in the greenhouse – like courgettes – into the soil.
One gardening fan questioned: “Does this work on concrete slabs?”
In response, Indianna replied: “Yes! Any hard outdoor surface.”
Another user then wondered:“If it rains in the four days, does it affect it?”
To which Indianna clarified: “No, it just needs to not rain for six hours after putting it down.”
