I was an aesthetician & always shared a DIY acne treatment – my boss wasn’t on board but she couldn’t deny the results

ACNE AWAY

Redditor Wordly-midnight5555 knew what holy grail treatment would effectively eliminate the appearance of acne.

“I was a skin therapist – aesthetician in a med spa. For people with cysts or cystic acne I would tell them to get liquid probiotics and use like a mask or make a poultice pack,” she said.

She initially encountered some pushback over the probiotic-centric treatment which ultimately took everyone by surprise.

“My boss was not on board at first because it didn’t sell any pro products, but after seeing the results, she couldn’t deny them and got some to keep in the med spa fridge,” she said.

REAL RESULTS

She explained how you don’t have to be particularly precise when applying the treatment.

“It’s not an exact science on how much and how often,” she said.

“Give it a try to make sure your skin is good with it and then just go for it as much as you need/often as you need,” she said.

“It doesn’t hurt to leave it on a long time like overnight. The texture is like a really thin applesauce.”

It seemed there was a scientific reason as to why it was so effective for battling acne.

“It works by having good bacteria that fight the bad ones that cause cysts, pimples, and infections,” she said.

It might take “a few weeks” to work its magic, but patience pays off.

“I’ve seen amazing things happen,” she said.

For best results on a “sizable” cyst, she recommended wetting some gauze with the probiotic and taping it on.

If you have acne, you can “wipe some on the face and leave it anywhere from at least 30 minutes to overnight.”

Another user was ready to see if she would also see a difference in her skin by following these steps.

Perfect Origins
Her DIY treatment involved using a liquid probiotic such as the Vive Biotics Super Probiotic Formula, pictured above, and making a mask or poultice pack[/caption]

“Sounds good – I will start by doing a patch test on a part of my skin. If everything seems good after the test, I will move on with the mask,” they said.

TRY FOR YOURSELF

If you want to try the treatment for yourself, Vive Biotics Super Probiotic Formula is available for $47.

Probiotics can be “linked to skin health and acne reduction” according to the website of Dr. Ruscio.

They claim that probiotics can also help balance your gut microbiome.

This microbiome is an ecosystem of gut bacteria and other microbial life that lives in your digestive tract.
