Good morning, Mets fans!

Prior to Friday’s game against the Marlins, Luis Severino spoke to reporters about a group chat he is in with some of his former Yankees teammates, who teased Severino about not starting against them last time the Mets faced the Yankees. Severino responded that he wasn’t afraid of the Yankees because “right now, [they] only have two good hitters.”

Severino did not hold back against his former team, which has been carried by Aaron Judge and Juan Soto this year. The Mets will face the Yankees for the final time on July 23-24 at Yankee Stadium.
