Ryan Reynolds Masters Casual Dressing in Suede Oxfords at SiriusXM’s Town Hall Event for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ in New York
Ryan Reynolds attended SiriusXM’s town hall event for the film “Deadpool & Wolverine” held yesterday in New York. Also in attendance was Reynolds’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” co-star Hugh Jackman and the film’s director Shawn Levy.
Reynolds took a casual but clean-cut route with his footwear game, donning a pair of chestnut brown oxfords. The dressy pair was comprised of textural suede uppers that transitioned into almond-shaped toes and coordinating lace-up closures. Short stacked block heels rounded out the set, offering the actor a subtle lift.
In a playful move, the “Red Notice” actor wore a funky button-down in a tan hue featuring a vaguely floral print in a contrasting red. Reynolds’ collared shirt was layered over top a plain white tank top. Tailored brown slacks rounded out the look, living in the same color family as the rest of his ensemble, creating a cohesive look. Finally, the Canadian-American actor wore a gold watch and a matching gold chain.
Reynolds typically keeps it casual when not wearing dress shoes for formal events. The actor tends to gravitate towards comfortable sneakers featuring unique colorways or playful textures. Some of his favorite sneaker brands include Asics, Converse and Nike. Whether high-top or slip-on, Reynolds’ choices in sneakers have gotten him major street cred, much like fellow footwear connoisseur Ben Affleck.
On the red carpet, the “Free Guy” star usually opts for sharp leather lace-up brogues and suede boots. Aside from his sharp shoe wardrobe, Reynolds has also dabbled in fashion as the face of Armani’s “Armani Code Absolu” fragrance and a campaign star for Piaget, Marks & Spencer, Mr. Porter and Hugo Boss, over the years.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” is an upcoming action-adventure film directed by Shawn Levy starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. The highly-anticipated crossover superhero film is set to release in theaters on July 26.
