Donald Trump Jr turns stomachs with ‘weird and creepy’ comment about his daughter
The Trump family has a history of making sexual comments about their children.
Making inappropriate comments about their children seems to run in Donald Trump’s family.
The former president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr sparked outrage when he called his 17-year-old daughter Kai ‘sexy’ earlier this week.
He can be heard making the comment in a clip of them sat side by side in makeup chairs as they got ready for the Republican National Convention.
Kai spoke at the convention where her ‘normal grandpa’ was confirmed as the party’s candidate for this year’s presidential election.
In the clip, posted to Trump Jr’s own TikTok account, the 46-year-old says: ‘Kai, what do you think, getting makeup make me sexy like you?’
His teenage daughter tells him: ‘I think you look very beautiful.’
Trump Jr responds: ‘Thank you Kai, I’m glad you think I look very beautiful. I don’t do this very often, but in HD you better do it.’
As an artist pats his face with a makeup sponge, he adds: ‘I’m just excited for Kai’s first speech where she chose a very large venue to get out there. She’s going to crush it – I love you Kai.’
His clip, watched more than 8million times, has certainly raised a few eyebrows.
‘That sounds kinda sus’, one person commented.
‘So actually we don’t wanna be calling our daughter sexy’, another said.
One went so far as to say: ‘I think it’s weird and creepy if you think your daughter looks sexy.’
It may not have gone down well with viewers, but as one commenter observed it appears to be ‘generational’.
Trump Jr’s father has a history of making questionable comments about his own daughter.
Former president Trump, 78, once claimed he would be dating his eldest daughter Ivanka, 42, if the two weren’t related.
That 2006 appearance on The View wasn’t the only time Trump made such remarks about Ivanka.
In the same year, he told radio host Howard Stern that Ivanka has ‘always been very voluptuous’.
He had previously told Stern in 2004 that it was fine to call his daughter a ‘piece of ass’.
Ivanka’s body was allegedly a regular topic of conversation for Trump during his presidency, a former administration official claimed in a book last year.
‘Aides said he talked about Ivanka Trump’s breasts, her backside, and what it might be like to have sex with her’, claimed Miles Taylor, who served as chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security.
Kai, the eldest of Trump’s 10 grandchildren, painted a different picture of her the former president during her speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday.
She said: ‘I’m speaking today to share the side of my grandpa that people don’t often see.
‘To me, he’s just a normal grandpa. He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school.’
Addressing a recent assassination attempt on Trump, she added: ‘A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell and he’s still standing.
‘Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you.’
