Love Island’s Jess White claims Maya Jama ‘called out’ Diamanté for laughing as Uma cried during recoupling
JESS White has claimed Maya Jama ‘called out’ Diamanté Laiva for laughing at Uma Jammeh during the Casa Amor recoupling.
This year’s Love Island Casa Amor recoupling was one of the most dramatic yet.
One awkward moment came when Uma was left upset after learning of Wil Anderson‘s behaviour during the twist.
After Diamanté was seen apparently laughing at Uma, she and Jess clashed.
Diamanté insisted she wasn’t laughing at Uma but now Jess has revealed even presenter Maya got involved.
Appearing on the Reality with Will Njobvu podcast, Jess said: “She was [laughing]. That was not edited. The only reason I said it is because the time when Uma was upset, that person was laughing at that exact moment. That all happened in real time.
“What you won’t know is Maya actually called her out and said ‘what are you laughing at, then?’ She said, ‘What is it that’s funny then, if you’re not laughing at that situation?'”
However Diamanté has since taken to Instagram to hit back at Jess.
She wrote: “I’m so sick of explaining myself on this matter.
“I literally turned to Uma and said, ‘to make it very clear, I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing at Wil’s excuses’.
“Uma then asked me, ‘what do you mean by that?’ I said, ‘it’s not my place to say’.
“One thing I’ll never do is LIE. I’m not sure why you’re adding to the story? So bored of this now.”
Uma quit the villa after Wil was dumped and the couple last night reunited with Ronnie Vint and Harriett Blackmore.
