Police investigate Albany shooting on Madison Ave

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Albany Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man with a non-life-threatening injury on Saturday. Police said the shooting took place on Madison Avenue near Trinity Place around 4:45 p.m., and a 27-year-old man was self-transported to Albany Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his buttocks.

Police said their preliminary investigation suspects the shooting stemmed from an isolated incident between the victim and a group of people. Police added that they got a search warrant and discovered marijuana, pills, and other evidence in a home the group of people entered on the 100 Block of Madison Avenue after the shooting.
