Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Moshin Naqvi is likely to invite Indian Cricket team for the T20I bilateral series against Pakistan after the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. When Moshin will meet BCCI secretary Jay Shah in the ICC annual conference held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Pakistan media has reported that Moshin will invite India for a T20 series at a venue that will be neutral for both the teams during 2025.
Team India is currently preparing for the upcoming Sri Lanka series, whereas, Pakistan Team is preparing for their upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
“The proposal will be discussed during the meeting of Mohsin Naqvi with Jay Shah (BCCI secretary), with matches potentially scheduled during the free days of both teams after the Champions Trophy,” said the PCB source.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah and members of the PCB are currently getting themselves involved in the ICC’s annual conference meeting from July 19 to 22. The PCB chairman will meet Jay Shah in the conference where he will discuss the proposal of a bilateral series between India and Pakistan.
PCB is completely prepare to host the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan has plane all India’s matches at the same venue so that there will not be any security concern for the Me In Blue. They have even started building five-star hotel outside the Gaddafi Stadium to welcome the Team India in Lahore for the event.
Earlier, the management of Indian team straight up denied to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2023 for some security reasons. After that Sri Lanka came as the co-host and all matches played by India were in the Island nation. Last time India played a match in Pakistan was in 2008 for the Asia Cup.
