Gastric ailment drug can cause Parkinson's-like symptoms: Doctors

Gurgaon doctors warn that long-term use of Levosulpiride for gastrointestinal issues can mimic Parkinson's. An 80-year-old woman experienced severe weakness, rigidity, and tremors due to a prolonged prescription for gastric problems. Dr Praveen Gupta of Fortis Memorial Research Institute reported 15-20 similar cases and advised dosage reduction or discontinuation to alleviate symptoms.
