'MAGA is in panic mode': Trump aide said to be 'grasping at straws' with new Harris attack

Social media users are ridiculing a Donald Trump advisor who reportedly told NBC that a major issue liability for Kamala Harris, whom President Joe Biden recently endorsed to be the next president, is that "she wants to ban plastic straws."

Jason Miller, senior advisor to the 2024 Trump campaign, was previously accused of "a cycle of sexual coercion, rape, sexual assault, abuse, battery, sexual harassment, and sex trafficking." Now, he's coming at Harris with all he's got.

Dem pollster Matt McDermott flagged the development on Sunday.

"Senior Trump campaign advisor Jason Miller on NBC says that a major issue liability for [Harris] is that 'she wants to ban plastic straws,'" McDermott wrote. "Republicans are completely lost right now."

@JamesStevenson responded, saying, "Difficult for Jason in particular this moment since he is grasping at them."

@DenisonBarbs said, "MAGA is in panic mode!"

@BossBullethead asked, "Has he paid child support yet?"

"If he thinks plastic straws are the big problem, then she’s doing great," the user added.

A former Trump campaign aide, A.J. Delgado, said the event helped her see that Harris has a chance to defeat the ex-president she's facing.

"I didn't think Kamala could win but then I remembered how bad the Trump team is," she wrote on Sunday.
