Stegosaurus fossil fetches record $44.6 million at auction

NEW YORK CITY, New York: An anonymous buyer paid a record US$44.6 million this week for the nearly complete fossilized remains of a stegosaurus named "Apex" at Sotheby's auction house.

According to the auction house, the fossil is among the most complete ever found.
