Economic Survey 2024: PLI scheme for auto sector sees investment proposals worth Rs 67,690 crore

The PLI scheme for automobiles and auto components has attracted Rs 67,690 crore in proposed investments, with Rs 14,043 crore already invested by March 2024. The scheme, expected to generate 1.48 lakh jobs, has created 28,884 jobs so far. It includes a budget of Rs 25,938 crore for FY23-FY27, as noted in the Economic Survey 2023-24.
