This photo of the skeleton of a blue whale shows its immense size. It was taken at the Natural History Museum in London. Blue whales are the largest creatures (animals) on Earth today and thought to be the largest ever in our planet's history. This female specimen stretches 83 ft (25.2 m) from head to tail. Composed of 221 bones, it was stranded at Wexford Harbor, Ireland in 1891. Photo taken on April 6, 2024.
