I sold a 25p car boot sale buy for £45 – I’m an ordinary mum on a mission to make £6.5k to splash on family holidays
EVERYONE loves a bargain and Amy Fuller knows how to spot one.
When she gets her hands on something super cheap she manages to sell it on for a huge profit – and she’s already £1,500 into her £6,500 money-making mission.
Nurse Amy, 37, a married mum of three from Hastings, picks up bargains for pennies from charity shops, car boot sales and Facebook Marketplace and ‘flips’ them to make a profit by selling them on Vinted and eBay.
Rather than relying on the cash to cover the cost of everyday household outgoings, she uses it to pay for luxuries such as family holidays and a garage conversion.
“I once found a Lazy Oaf dress at a boot sale for 25p and sold it within days for £45. I had never heard of the brand before!” she explains.
So far, Amy, who is currently on maternity leave, has banked £1,700 thanks to her savvy flipping which she used to pay off a holiday.
She adds: “We had a holiday booked which we couldn’t really afford and I didn’t want to let the children down.”
She is now £1,500 on the way to her £6,500 goal – which she’s aiming to hit by the end of September to pay for a garage conversion so she has a home office and can really push her business forward.
While Amy has always been interested in making some extra cash, it was around four months ago that she decided to really “go for it” with her TikTok posting, where she shares tips on how to earn money on the side.
Now, she regularly posts videos on her social media pages sharing tips and tricks with other people, who have been keen to find similar success with their own side hustles.
“I’d been watching people on TikTok for a while, and really admired what they do, but was really nervous to do it myself,” Amy told Fabulous Online.
“Then when I was on maternity leave, I decided to go for it.

She has even found some unusual ways of making cash – such as the “road kill” clothing haul she nabbed.
Driving down the road one day she saw a whole load of clothes strewn across the tarmac.
While she didn’t think much of it at the time, she returned a few days later and saw they’d been moved to the side of the road.
She was stunned when she came across branded bits including Nike and Lipsy – which she managed to flog for a profit within days.
She did face some criticism for the move, but insists she never lets trolls’ rude comments get to her.
“I really don’t let it bother me, they aren’t paying my bills or providing for my children’s future so I just do me!” she says.

- Look at every tag on the teddy bears – you can find some real gems there
- Go to the £1 rails and search everything
- At boot sales look in the bags and boxes of clothes as people often just look at the top few items – you have to rummage!
Amy also has a tonne of ideas for the future, about how she can turn the business from a “side hustle” into a long-running profitable company.
“The ultimate goal is financial freedom and that’s what I will be going for next,” Amy says.
“I’m looking at expanding my newly-launched website and would love to get it to a point were I could employ a couple of followers to help me run things.
“I’m also looking at making up reseller starter packs so that people can start doing the same as me.”
Amy even has some ideas for digital products she can sell, laughing: “I never stop!”
