The couple’s eldest daughter has now been left without her parents following the tragedy on Sunday.

Two other people were also killed after the family’s Ford Focus collided with a motorbike just before 4pm.

Devastated friends and family have now paid tribute to the mum, dad and Rubie and Lillie.

They also vowed to look after the couple’s other daughter after she was left orphaned.

Shane’s brother Callum said: “Honestly lost for words. We lost two of our nieces, my sister in law and my amazing brother in a car accident due to a motorcycle on wrong side of road.

“I’m absolutely heartbroken. I’m gonna miss all of you! You all had a heart of gold. My heart is ripped into a million pieces!!”

Shannen’s friend Chelsea Element wrote: “You are and always will be one of my closest friends.

“There are no words to describe the utter loss this has created for family/ friends and the community around us.

“I hope your (sic) at peace Shannen Morgan and Shane Roller, with your beautiful girls.”

Another pal added: “My heart is absolutely shattered, I’m lost, I’m numb. It just doesn’t seem real that all four off you are gone.”

Security minister Dan Jarvis, MP for Barnsley North, also paid condolences.

He wrote on X: “Devastating news. My heartfelt condolences go to the family and friends of those who have tragically lost their lives.”

A fundraising page has also been created for the family.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a collision involving a Ford Focus and motorcycle on a country road close to a golf course at around 3.54pm.

But four people in the car, a man, woman and two girls, in the car were pronounced dead a short time later.

A man riding the motorcycle and female pillion passenger were also killed.

Pictures taken after the horror smash show the burnt out wreckage of the car.

Superintendent Alan Travis of Wakefield District Police said: “This is an absolutely tragic incident which has resulted in the loss of six lives.

“Our thoughts go out to the families of those who have died who we are working with to provide support at this time.”

A police statement added: “Six people, including four adults and two children, have died in a collision between Wakefield and Barnsley.

“The collision, which involved two vehicles, happened on the A61 Barnsley Road between Staincross, Barnsley, and Newmillerdam, Wakefield.

“The road has been closed between Shaw Lane and Warren Lane and is likely to remain closed for some time as the investigation continues.”

Anyone with any information has been asked to contact West Yorkshire Police by calling 101.
