Sky is moving 40 TV channels TODAY in latest major shake-up – check new numbers on your box now

SKY has made some changes to the channel numbers on its satellite service this week in a fresh shake-up.

It’s been a busy month for Sky, with a number of channels already closing and launching.

Changes affect Sky Q boxes[/caption]

At the start of the month, music fans lost five beloved channels, including 4Music, The Box, Kiss, Magic and Kerrang.

The Box was the longest running of the bunch, having been on air for 32 years.

Fortunately, a new channel came along to fill the void in the form of Now 90s and 00s.

The changes led to a few channel shifts in the music section recently.

But now Sky is tweaking channel numbers in another part of the TV listings.

And this time, it’s the international section.

The move has been described as a “gap closure” on Sky’s website.

New channel numbers only affect satellite, so Sky Q and Sky+HD, not Sky Glass and Sky Stream.

Here’s the full list of changes with their new numbers:

• Zee Cinema moves from 709 to 708
• MATV National moves from 711 to 709
• Dangal moves from 712 to 711
• ColorsRishtey moves from 713 to 712
• ColorsCineplex moves from 714 to 713
• SONY MAX HD moves from 715 to 714
• Utsav GOLD HD moves from 717 to 715
• SONY SAB moves from 718 to 716
• SONY MAX 2 moves from 720 to 717
• Aastha moves from 724 to 718
• Sanskar moves from 725 to 719
• PTV Global moves from 735 to 733
• New Vision TV moves from 736 to 735
• Islam Channel moves from 737 to 736
• GEO TV moves from 738 to 737
• Noor TV moves from 739 to 738
• IQRA TV moves from 742 to 739
• 92 News moves from 743 to 740
• Islam TV moves from 744 to 741
• Ahlebait (ex-ROI) moves from 745 to 742 in the UK only
• Takbeer TV moves from 749 to 743

Those aren’t the only changes happening either.

The NTD channel is jumping from the entertainment section where it’s currently 185 to the news section at 524, from Wednesday (July 22).

Then on Thursday (July 23) Zee Punjabi will launch on channel 769.
