<p>Japan also had the best team earned run average (ERA) with 1.23, followed by USA with 1.29. No other team came close to these figures. Third-placed Canada had 3.34 while fourth-placed the Netherlands 3.7. Every other team averaged more than two runs more than Japan or USA.</p>
