The Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) made it clear on Monday that it has made no proposal to play any T20I series against India, and that it’s current focus is on conducting the Champions Trophy smoothly. There have been rumours about PCB chairman Moshin Naqvi having discussions with the BCCI officials on the possibility of a T20I series likely in Either England or Australia. “There is no such proposal on the table or under consideration because right now the biggest challenge for us is to organise the Champions Trophy in a befitting manner and we also have a packed international schedule,” said a highly reliable source.

The source said the main target of PCB at the ICC meeting in Colombo was to get the budget approved for the Champions trophy. To get assurance from ICC and BCCI that that India would send their team to play in Pakistan was their second main target.

“That is our main agenda right now. So, there is no question of contemplating any bilateral venture with India,” the source added.

India has decided to suspend bilateral series with Pakistan since 2012 after Pakistan visited the country for a short while ball series, but the countries have not played any Test series since Pakistan’s tour to India in 2007.

Even team India’s participation in the Champions Trophy remains on hold with a lot of assumptions going back and forth about team India wanting to play their matches outside Pakistan.
