The Astrologers Knew It Was Joever
We could’ve rested a little easier over the past few weeks had we just looked to the stars. According to astrologers, President Joe Biden dropping out of the election and throwing his support behind Vice-President Kamala Harris wasn’t all that surprising. Sunday did feature a full moon in Capricorn, after all.
On Saturday, astrologer Chani Nicholas posted a video about what to expect from the coming days. “One of the main themes of this weekend and the full moon in Capricorn that this weekend features is that it’s really trying to teach us about endings,” she said. “More specifically, how do we show up for endings in our life, for periods of transition?”
In a different video, also posted on Saturday, Nicholas made the connection between astrology and the election even more clear. “The events of this weekend have everything to do with what happens in November, astrologically speaking,” she explained. “That’s because we’re having a full moon at the last degree of Capricorn this weekend. And in November, like November 5 — if something’s happening on that day — that’s where Pluto’s gonna be. So this weekend’s full moon is rhyming with the events that will happen in November.”
Okay, so astrology is literally real, I guess.
Nicholas is not the only astrologer who felt that something was coming this weekend. Lisa Stardust shared that they knew Biden was going to drop out when he was first elected. In an Instagram post, they wrote, “Biden announced this right after the Full Moon in [Capricorn], which was at 29 degrees & in aspect to Neptune Retrograde at 29 degrees—indicating the end of an era & dream.”
Stardust appeared on the Witch Wave podcast back in January, where they noted that America was going through a very transformative time as part of its Pluto return. “I think we’re all going to be surprised by the election, but I don’t think that we’re probably going to be making any changes,” they said at the time. Interesting!

Later in this thread, she does say that Donald Trump is going to win, but let’s not think too hard about that.
This past weekend was a huge win for a lot of people. Kamala Harris is probably the big winner, but perhaps astrologers are coming in a close second. In third place are all the women who have tried and failed to convince their Virgo boyfriends to believe in the stars — you guys might actually have a leg up now.
