Strictly pro leaves fans devastated as he pulls out of stage show amid BBC scandal

EX-STRICTLY pro Kevin Clifton left fans devastated after he was forced to pull out of his stage show.

Kevin, 41, has been starring in Jamie The Musical in the lead of Hugo/Loco Chanelle.

Excited theatre-goers expected to see him in the role on Thursday evening and were left baffled by his last-minute absence.

They commented beneath his latest photo on Instagram, as he celebrated the final day of his stage tour.

He penned: “Final day of the tour. @jamiemusical Love this show.

“Loved working with the whole company on and offstage. Loved playing Hugo/Loco Chanelle.

“Thanks for having me and thanks everyone who’s come along to see us.”

Writing beneath his post, one fan said: “The show was amazing, but we missed seeing you on Thursday evening.”

A second penned: “There was an nnouncement made on Thursday when he wasn’t on. v v disappointed.”

One more ticket holder said: “There was a paper at mine saying he wasn’t on but some guy came and said it was wrong, and took it away, but it ended up being right so I was very confused. Shame to have missed him.”

Kevin is best known for his time on Strictly performing in seven series and five finals.

Last week he sparked hopes he was returning, after he congratulated Aljaz Škorjanec who is set to make a comeback.

Kevin, 41, shared a snap of the pair together with a touching caption.

Kevin wrote: “Very excited fot the return of my boy @aljazskorjanec to @bbcstrictly.

“A winner in his first year, great dancer, great teacher and a lovely guy???? Can’t wait to watch????????✌.”

Many fans rushed to say the same thing in the comments section.

One said: Come on King Kevin…..we’re waiting on you returning too.”

“Let’s hope u come back soon to Kevin,” another chimed in.

A third added: “Your turn to come back now then Kevin. Reckon if they did a poll asking whos the favourite pro of all time you would win it hands down!”

He quit the show on a high in 2019 after lifting the Glitterball Trophy with partner Stacey Dooley the year before.

Kevin has been making waves on the stage since leaving Strictly, most recently playing Scott Hastings in the UK Tour of Strictly Ballroom the Musical.

Other credits include, Robbie Hart in The Wedding Singer, Stacey Jaxx in Rock Of Ages and The Artilleryman in Jeff Wayne’s The War Of The Worlds.
