The couple said they would remain “the best of friends” when they announced their split in a statement to The Sun after an eight year marriage and two children.

On Monday Kaya, 31, shared photos with Ben as they joined other celebrities at an art exhibition in the Maldives.

She captioned her photos: “We were lucky enough to be invited to the unveiling of @sassanbehnambakhtiar latest piece #LifeEnergy at the stunning @patinamaldives resort.

“Getting to meet and spend time with @sirmofarah & @littlesimz was the cherry on top. Thank you for a very special few days!”

And she was bombarded with questions about her marriage.

One person said: “Aww it’s so sweet to see you and Ben.”

Another asked: “Are they still together with Benjamin?”

The Sun has contacted a rep for Kaya for comment.

Kaya first found fame in Skins aged 14 as Effy.

She most recently stunned Netflix audiences as drug queen Susie Glass in the action-packed The Gentleman series.

The star married Benjamin, who is also an actor, in 2015 after they began dating while filming The King’s Daughter the previous year.

Their first son was born in November 2016, and the child’s godfather is Hollywood star and former Skins actor Daniel Kaluuya.

She revealed she was pregnant with her second child in September 2021.

Announcing their split earlier this year, the couple’s rep told The Sun: “Some time ago Kaya and Ben made the joint decision to end their marriage but continue to co-parent lovingly whilst remaining the best of friends.

“They ask that their privacy as well as that of their children’s remain respected as they continue to move forward as a family.”

Kaya has worked her way up from a poverty-stricken childhood to become a screen star, commanding up to £1.2million a movie.

She has previously credited her Brazilian-born mum Katia for being her inspiration.
