Jones man faces 20 counts of sex crimes with children

A Jones father remains in jail Monday, accused of sexually assaulting several young children.

JONES, Okla. (KFOR) – A Jones father remains in jail Monday, accused of sexually assaulting several young children. Timothy Flynt faces 20 charges of sex crimes against a child, including rape. The District Attorney’s Office filed the 20 charges on Thursday.

The alleged assaults took place at a home in an neighborhood off NE 150th. An affidavit claimed at least six children were inappropriately touched by Flynt over a span of six months. The assaults allegedly started in October 2023 and continued until June 2024. One of the girls was reportedly raped.

All of the victims were under the age of 10 years old. According to records, some of the girls were assaulted during a sleepover. All of them were touched inappropriately and forced to watch “homemade pornography,” according to court documents.

Records showed Flynt told the girls not to tell their parents.

One of the girls finally worked up enough courage to tell a trusted adult about what happened. That’s when Flynt was questioned and ultimately arrested.

Stacy McNeiland is the CEO of The Care Center in Oklahoma City, a child advocacy center that works with young sexual assault victims through a program called “Roar.”

"Action is very important. It's important that they respond appropriately,” said McNeiland. “Number one, nothing is more important than your child knowing what you love them, that you believe them."

McNeiland said getting the victims the right treatment was the next step to help the young children through this situation.

"Giving them their recommended counseling treatments, crisis counseling, long term counseling. And they really should do that for the whole family unit, including themselves," said McNeiland.

Flynt’s bond has been set at $500,000. The District Attorney’s office told KFOR that they were not looking for any other victims at this time. Several protective orders have been filed against Flynt since the charged were handed down.
