Kansas Democratic Party endorses Kamala Harris for Presidential nominee

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Kansas Democratic Delegation voted to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidential nomination on Monday. This comes as Harris is working to gain support among delegates, following President Joe Biden's decision to step out of the race.

The Kansas Democratic Delegation's vote was made at a meeting of the Kansas Democratic Party's DNC Convention Delegation, with the party and Delegation Chair Jeanna Repass, according to a release from the party.

Sunday, July 21, Repass told 27 News Biden's announcement to withdraw from this election was "bittersweet".

This decision comes almost a month after Repass told 27 News she and the Kansas Democratic Party fully backed Biden after the first presidential debate.
