Logan Paul’s next fight is in the courtroom. The U.S. Olympic Committee has filed a lawsuit on Friday in Washington DC against the YouTuber for reportedly using the words “Olympic” and “Team USA” on his beverage, Prime Hydration, reports the New York Times. Coca-Cola has exclusive rights to use Olympic trademarks on beverages in the states, and Paul’s brand was not permitted to use it on their sports/energy drink, specifically their latest collaboration with Olympian Kevin Durant. Labels on the bottle contain phrases like “What makes a true Olympian repping Team USA?” and “3x Olympic Gold Medalist and counting…” The Olympic Committee lawyer tells the Times that they had previously requested them to stop using the trademarks; however, they claim the warnings were ignored. As of July 22, Prime’s social media pages do not feature Durant’s collaboration; however, some stores still carry the beverage. Vulture has reached out to Prime for comment (like and subscribe).
