Tyson Fury’s uncle takes huge swipe at brother John as he slams lack of ‘professionalism’ for Oleksandr Usyk fight

TYSON FURY’S uncle and former trainer Peter hit out at the lack of “professionalism” shown in the corner against Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury in May was beaten on points by Usyk, who was crowned the heavyweight division’s first ever four-belt undisputed champion.

The Gypsy King brought his dad John into his crowded corner alongside head coach Sugarhill Steward and assistant Andy Lee.

But Peter – who has fallen out with John in recent years – aimed a huge swipe at his brother.

He told Carl Froch’s YouTube channel: “Whether it was emotions in there, everybody was speaking.

“I’ll tell you what it looked like to me, it looked like it was all mates and they were just trying to gee him on or something, I don’t know.

“There didn’t seem to be any, there was no professionalism in that corner as far as one clear voice stating what he needed to do.”

Damning footage in the aftermath of Fury’s loss revealed dad John barking instructions over lead voice Sugarhill.

And Peter added: “You’re not going to listen if four people are – if you’re tired and you’re coming into the latest stages of a fight and you’ve got a man in front of you, you’re trailing that fight and you know you’ve been hit badly, and you need to come back from that.

“You’ve got all that to deal with and you have got four people trying to talk to you, I’m afraid that’s not happening.

“There probably was one voice stating what he needed to do but all four of them or three or four of them were giving it at the same time, and all different instructions.

“It was at the same time and all the instructions were different which means its a scramble, isn’t it?”

Fury, 35, is now due to rematch Usyk, 37, in December back in Saudi Arabia.

And Peter – who famously led his nephew to victory over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 – noted that the tactics need to be rectified.

He said: “I think he can you know, we’re looking at a big man, six foot eight six foot nine, who wanted to have a tippy tappy boxing match with somebody who’s an elite mover and an elite boxer so I think they got the strategies all wrong for that fight.”
