Being a stay-at-home wife is so dumb – it will ruin your life and those in their ‘soft era’ need to WAKE UP
A WOMAN has claimed that being a stay-at-home wife or girlfriend is the ‘dumbest thing’ a woman can do.
Anna Kristina, a Mindset Coach who ‘helps women step into their full potential’, has explained that ‘girlies in their soft era’ need to ‘wake up’.
Anna revealed that although the ‘trad wife’ movement is currently being ‘glamorised on TikTok’ she explained that having a man provide for you, look after you and pay all the bills, isn’t a good idea.
Posting on social media, Anna stressed why this lifestyle is not sensible, leaving many open-mouthed.
She claimed: “If this man cheats on you, leaves you one day after 20 years of being married, finds the secretary more attractive than you and walks away from you – your entire existence is absolutely f****d.”
She advised women: “You as a woman have to be able to stand on your own two feet, you have to be independent – mentally, emotionally, financially and physically.”
Not only this, but Anna shared that marriage can be “unpredictable”, and women must protect themselves from unfortunate possibilities.
She explained: “You have to be able to walk away from anything and anyone that does not serve you, because one day, trust me, I don’t wish this on anyone, I wish everybody to have a happy marriage, but life is unpredictable.”
Anna stressed the importance of wives and girlfriends having their own income, and advised women to “be smart” and “play dumb”.
She continued: “Have your own income and build your own life – do not forget about yourself, even when it comes to friendships, a lot of women give their friendships up, [but] womanhood is one of the most powerful things.”
The content creator explained that women are setting themselves up for failure if their entire focus is on their partner.
Not only this, but she advised women to never neglect their own interests for a man.
The influencer concluded: “A lot of women neglect their own hobbies, their own purpose in life, their entire mental, physical and financial focus is on their husband – so one day when this man is not in their life anymore, because God forbid, something happened to him or he decided to cheat and run away with secretary, that woman is f****d, because the entire existence of this woman is tied and ruled and overpowered by a man.”
What is a trad wife?
A trad wife (short for traditional wife) is a woman who chooses to take on an ultra traditional role in marriage, meaning she makes dinner and looks pretty whilst her husband goes to work.
The trend takes inspiration from the idea of a 1950s housewife.
Many ‘trad wives’ choose to dress in the style of clothing popular in this period (think floral dresses and frumpy cardigans).
Additionally, the values considered important to trad wives are similar to strict Christian values.
Trad wives believed they were not forced into this way of life, and that it was their purpose to be homemakers.
The trend, which has garnered attention on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, glamorises a time gone by with little acknowledgement of the economic challenges facing families and mothers today.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @annakrstna, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 612,200 views.
But social media users were left totally divided by Anna’s claims – whilst many agreed, others were keen to share their thoughts.

Whilst someone else penned: “It’s called having a prenup, nothing wrong with being a stay home mum and living your best life!”
