It is irrational and inconsistent with the independence of the judiciary for Parliament to assign a removed judge to the Judicial Services Commission to take part in processes to appoint judges, DA federal executive chairwoman Helen Zille said in an urgent application to the High Court to interdict MK Party MP John Hlophe from taking up a seat in the commission.
