'You sound scared': Marjorie Taylor Greene ridiculed for tying Trump shooting to Harris
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tried to spread an assassination attempt conspiracy theory early Tuesday morning — and found herself ridiculed instead.
Greene, taking a page out of Donald Trump's book, ranted on social media about political enemies she claimed were entangled in a dangerous power-grab plot.
"They tried to assassinate Donald Trump," Greene wrote on X. "Now they have propped up Kamala Harris without any Democrat voters casting a single vote. What is going on???"
The Georgia Republican also echoed the far-right rumor that President Joe Biden — who MAGA fans first claimed had made up his COVID diagnosis — had been killed by the disease.
"Biden is rumored to have had a medical event in LV Nevada after being diagnosed with Covid then dropped out of race and is no where to be seen," wrote Greene. "Who is running the country???"

According to multiple reports, Biden Tuesday was on his way to the White House where his administration will host a Super Pollutants Summit.
According to Dr. Kevin C. O'Connor, physician to the president and George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences professor, Biden has normal blood pressure and clear lungs, which would suggest — as does his official calendar — that he is alive.
This perhaps why Greene's fearful post did not evoke quite the response she would have expected.
"You sound scared," replied Ed Krassenstein.
Another reader noted that while much remains unknown about Thomas Crooks' attempt to fatally shoot Trump in a Pennsylvania rally earlier this month, there is no public evidence to suggest the registered Republican worked in a group.
“'They' = One Republican," the X user JustVent wrote.
"Joe Biden is running the country through January, Midge," wrote Jay Black. "Then it’ll be Kamala Harris and a new Democratic House, which will be good news for you because without all those committee assignments you’ll be free to do garage Burpees! Hope this clears things up!!"
"Who is 'they,'" asked parody X user Burt Macklin. "Be specific."
"Is it the Jewish Space Laser people?" replied @bigoljerk. "It is, isn't it?
