New Delhi: The Olympic Opening Ceremony will not be held in a stadium in Paris for the first time in history. Instead, dozens of boats will carry thousands of athletes and performers on a 6km floating parade on the River Seine. The Paris Olympics 2024 will begin on July 26. The Opening Ceremony begins at 7:30 PM IST and is expected to last four hours. This year 32 sports will be played including 28 core Olympic sports. Departing from the Austerlitz bridge, the boats carrying athletes and artists will sail by Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral and arrive near the Eiffel Tower. The organizers have also made sure that not a single riverbank or bridge that won’t be filled with music, dance, or performance.
