Ryan Reynolds Just Revealed the Name of His Baby With Blake Lively — & It’s Definitely Not in Taylor Swift’s Latest Album

Taylor Swift is a big fan of Easter eggs — and a loyal friend to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds — which is why fans have been wondering for months if she revealed the name of their fourth baby via lyrics in her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. After all, she has a whole song using the monikers of their daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4! But even if you combed through all the lyrics of her latest album to find potential baby names (like we did!) you still wouldn’t come across the name of their fourth baby, born in Feb. 2023. The Deadpool star just revealed the baby’s unique name, and it doesn’t seem to have any Swiftie ties at all!

At the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere at Lincoln Center in New York City Monday night, Reynolds addressed the audience and thanked his family — including their new baby Olin!

“I want to start by saying thank you to my wife, Blake, who is here,” he said, per Us Weekly. “I want to thank my kids James, Inez, Betty, Olin, who are here. I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing — that is, the contents of this movie — that happens in your wondrous life.”

“I love that my entire family is here,” he added.

Olin is such a cute name! The traditionally masculine name (but reminder, so is James, so don’t read too much into it) is Norse and means “relic.” (BTW, it could also be spelled like “Olen,” “Olyn” for example, and so far Reynolds hasn’t confirmed the spelling he and Lively chose.)

A source told In Touch Weekly in May that the baby’s name was “Obi,” which is the name of a character from the 2021 Gossip Girl reboot. Obi is also partially in Swift’s song “Robin,” which was co-written by Aaron Desner and presumably named after his son. However, the insider was slightly off in their name reveal, as Reynolds confirmed last night that their child’s name is “Olin,” which is nowhere in Swift’s album.

The IF star himself revealed that the child’s name wasn’t in Swift’s latest album in a May interview on The TODAY Show. Host Savannah Guthrie joked, “Taylor Swift keeps dropping [your baby names] into lyrics, so…” referencing the track “Betty” from folklore.

“[Are] we gonna have to wait for another song?” host Hoda Kotb chimed in. Finally, Guthrie came right out and asked: “Is the fourth child’s name — the baby’s name — anywhere on the new record [The Tortured Poets Department]?”

Reynolds jokingly replied, “We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is. So, uh, and we’ll say this: we’re still waiting.”

“So, Taylor, let’s maybe start … you know,” he added. “She’s a prolific writer, I mean, what are we doing here? And ‘lazy’ is not a word I’d attach to Taylor.”

Maybe she’s just waiting until Reynolds and the It Ends With Us star have more kids before she writes another song. After all, Reynolds told E! News yesterday that he wants more children. “The more the merrier,” he said. “As many as possible. As many little heartbeats as possible, just running around, wrecking stuff in the house. I love it. Let’s have more!”
