'It's a disgrace': Trump Jr. catches heat for planned fundraiser with infamous anti-Semite

Donald Trump Jr. is catching some heat from many conservatives who are upset that he is scheduled to take part in a fundraising event featuring notorious anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist Candace Owens.

Trump Jr.'s appearance was flagged by the Stop Anti-Semitism Twitter account, which regularly calls out anti-Semitism on both ends of the political spectrum.

"It’s no secret Candace Owens has dove head first into the antisemitic pool," the account wrote. "For her to headline this event is horrifying - dump her from the lineup and don’t look back."

From there, the account recapped Owens' history of promoting anti-Semitism, including her declaration earlier this year that there was a "ring of Jews in Hollywood" who are engaged in "something quite sinister."

Many conservative commentators then jumped in to similarly condemn Trump's Jr.'s decision to appear at an event with Owens, who was fired by the right-wing Daily Wire over her promotion of anti-Jewish conspiracy theories.

"Unless there is some missing context, it’s a disgrace for Donald Trump Jr. to appear with one of the leading anti-Semitic conspiracists online — who not only loathes Jews, but thinks Americans were the bad guys in WWII, the moon landing was fake, and the world might be flat," wrote the National Review's Philip Klein.

"Hey Donald Trump Jr, this is NOT how you win Jewish voters," wrote conservative Raylan Givens.

David Harsanyi, a writer at The Federalist and the National Review, recited one of Owens' alarming quotes about Hitler's big mistake being that he tried to invade other countries instead of just trying to "make Germany great." He then referred to Owens as a "groyper intellectual."
