Soap legend horrified as she discovers her character has DIED and she’ll never be back
A SOAP legend has been left shocked after discovering her beloved character has died.
Weatherfield icon Denise Osbourne had numerous appearances on the cobbles over the years as Denise Black.
She first arrived in Coronation Street in 1992, playing the wife of Ken Barlow, and the mother of Daniel Osbourne.
The actress left the ITV soap for good in 1997.
Denise later returned in 2007 and 2017 but hasn’t been seen since, despite her son Daniel’s recent woes – as well as the birth of her grandson Bertie.
And now the star has been left furious after being told by a fan that bosses have ‘killed’ her character.
Posting on Facebook, Denise penned: “So I’m taking a walk and I meet a lady who said ‘I know who you are’ and we get chatting and then she says ‘you’re dead’. WTF?!”
The 64-year-old continued: “Apparently Denise Osbourne died a few years ago. I am completely gutted.
“I looked everywhere on google and nowhere I can find does it say she’s dead, but if Daniel inherited 400k I guess that’s game over. Ouch!!’
“God, I loved working on Corrie. Brilliant job, forever grateful.”
Denise also starred in rival soap Emmerdale, where her character Joanie Wright was killed off.
She was the third wife of Zak Dingle, but dropped dead when she learned he had reconnected with his ex-wife Lisa.
Denise’s fan perhaps got her characters mixed up – or not.
