OBN says its Human Trafficking (HT) Group came into contact with a possible victim of human trafficking during an investigation in February 2024. After conducting interviews and gathering evidence, OBN identified Billy Brown as a possible human trafficker.

After a five-month investigation, OBN HT agents arrested Brown on July 22, 2024, in northwest Oklahoma City. Officials say he was apprehended on an Oklahoma County warrant for Human Trafficking, Maintaining a House of Prostitution, Transporting a Person for the Purpose of Prostitution and Use of a Computer to Violate State Statute.

"This is an example of victims gaining courage to step forward against their assailants when they realize they are not alone." said OBN.

Anyone can anonymously report suspected human trafficking to OBN's Human Trafficking Tip Line at 855-617-2288 or through the bureau's Facebook DMs.
