A distracted driver in Vancouver walked away practically unscathed after a serious crash Tuesday morning, authorities said.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A distracted driver in Vancouver walked away practically unscathed after a serious crash Tuesday morning, authorities said.

According to Vancouver police, a driver was on Mill Plain Boulevard when they got distracted by traffic cones causing them to crash head first into a pole.

The driver came out with only a minor scratch, authorities said. However, the car got completely lodged against the pole.

Vancouver police want to use this opportunity to remind drivers to pay attention to the road while driving.
