Distillery sets grand opening for tasting room in Amsterdam

Second Act Spirits, a New York farm distillery, has set the grand opening for its tasting room in the Clocktower building at 37 Prospect Street in Amsterdam. The grand opening will be held on Friday, July 26 at 3 p.m.

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Second Act Spirits, a New York farm distillery, has set the grand opening for its tasting room in the Clocktower building at 37 Prospect Street in Amsterdam. The grand opening will be held on Friday, July 26 at 3 p.m.

Stacey and Rich Michaels founded Second Act Spirits in 2023. As a farm distillery, they go beyond the state requirement of using 75% New York-grown raw materials.

"Our partnership with local agriculture is at the heart of everything we do," said Stacey Michaels. "From the grains in our Clocktower Bourbon to the Concord grapes and Green Apples flavored vodkas, each bottle tells the story of New York's rich agricultural heritage."

The tasting room will be serving samples of Second Act’s vodka, whiskey products and cocktails. They are also planning to offer light food options such as charcuterie, appetizers, and soups, as well as merchandise.
