Two Schenectady restaurants celebrating their grand openings

Two restaurants on Upper Union Street in Schenectady are set to celebrate their grand openings. Chapli & Platters is celebrating its grand opening on Friday, July 26 at 2 p.m., and Mr. & Mrs. Wing is having its grand opening on Tuesday, July 30 at 1 p.m.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two restaurants on Upper Union Street in Schenectady are set to celebrate their grand openings. Chapli & Platters is celebrating its grand opening on Friday, July 26 at 2 p.m., and Mr. & Mrs. Wing is having its grand opening on Tuesday, July 30 at 1 p.m.

Mr. & Mrs. Wing, located at 1715 Union Street, had its soft opening on June 28. The restaurant offers Korean chicken wings and boneless wings in a variety of flavors. The menu also includes Korean beef rolls, fried rice, hot honey cheese balls, surimi rolls, onion rings, fries, and more.

Chapli & Platters, located at 1628 Union Street, had its soft opening on July 3. The restaurant serves the Afghan cuisine Chapli, which is seasoned ground meat in the form of a patty. The menu features platters with choice of chapli or other meat, rice, salad, dressing, and fries, as well as salads, wraps, burgers, sandwiches, wings, and more.
