Ryan Reynolds Makes Big Family Reveal at 'Deadpool' Premiere

The couple had previously remained tight-lipped about the fourth child.

Ryan Reynolds gave his family a loving shoutout at the New York City premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine on Monday, July 22, and in doing so revealed the name of his fourth child with wife Blake Lively.

The couple welcomed the fourth addition to their brood on Feb. 12, 2023, but had remained tight-lipped about the child's name. While taking the stage at the David H. Koch theater alongside the film's cast, his longtime friend and co-star Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy, the 47-year-old actor gushed about how much he loves his family, specifically naming his three daughters, James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4; as well as their fourth child, Olin. Though, Olin's gender is still unclear.

"I love that my entire family is here," he told the crowd. Reynolds also praised Lively, who showed up to the premiere wearing a Deadpool-inspired outfit; a long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder, maroon bodysuit with an intricate lace design, dripping in jewels. (Her good friend, Gigi Hadid, likewise attended the premiere in a yellow bandeau top and matching low-rise yellow skirt in a nod to Wolverine's X-Men uniform.)

"Her outfit is amazing, spoiler alert," Reynolds joked to the crowd of his wife of over a decade.

During an appearance on the Today show back in May, Reynolds was asked whether their new child's name might make an appearance on Taylor Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department. The singer had previously featured their three daughters names on the song "Betty" from her 2020 album Folklore.

"Taylor Swift keeps dropping it into lyrics!" noted co-host Savannah Guthrie. When pressed if the baby's name was anywhere on the new record, Reynolds quipped: "We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child's name is, and I'll say this: We're still waiting. So, Taylor, let's maybe start—you know, she's a prolific. writer, what are we doing here?"

"And lazy is not a word I'd attach to Taylor," he added.
