The Harris presidential campaign, by the numbers

Since President Joe Biden withdrew from his reelection campaign on Sunday and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, the momentum around her candidacy just keeps growing. 

Let’s start with the enormous surge in grassroots donations to Harris, smashing all sorts of records. Her campaign pulled in $81 million in its first 24 hours. That includes:

• Over 888,000 grassroots donors.

• 60% of those donors were making their first contribution of the 2024 cycle.

• 43,000 donors signed up as recurring donors, with more than half pledging weekly donations.

• 1 Win With Black Women Zoom call on Sunday night, with over 44,000 participants, netting more than $1.5 million for the campaign.
