Mets place rookie RHP Christian Scott (UCL) on 15-day IL

The New York Mets placed rookie right-hander Christian Scott on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday because of a sprained right ulnar collateral ligament.

In a corresponding move, the Mets recalled left-hander Alex Young from Triple-A Syracuse.

Scott, whose move was retroactive to Monday, last pitched on Sunday in a 4-2 loss to the host Miami Marlins. He is 0-3 with a 4.56 ERA
