Soil caves in at bldg site, construction worker dies

On Monday in Gurgaon, a 50-year-old construction worker named Dhuram was buried alive when soil collapsed into a 20-foot pit at a site in A-block, DLF-1. His coworkers, using an earthmover, managed to recover him, but he was declared dead upon arrival at Civil Hospital. Inspector Sunil Kumar confirmed no foul play was suspected as per the statement from Dhuram's son Ramesh, and the family filed no complaint, hence no case was registered. Post-autopsy, the police completed BNS section 194 formalities and handed over the body to his family.
