Limassol police catch credit card thief
Limassol police on Tuesday arrested a 27-year-old man within hours of a woman reporting her credit card as stolen.
The 65-year-old woman informed the police that while at home, she received a message from her bank that her credit card had been used for purchases at a nearby kiosk.
The complainant then discovered that her purse, containing her credit card and €50, had been stolen from her kitchen.
Officers went to the kiosk where the stolen card had been used for purchases of €107.
Police obtained a description of the perpetrator and were able to stopped and detain the 27-year-old, who he allegedly admitted to the theft. The man was arrested on a warrant and the case in under ongoing investigation by Limassol CID.
