‘This is genius’ people say as mum reveals how she feeds family of four at Nando’s for £30

A MUM has been hailed as “genius” for her trick to feed a family of four at Nando’s for just £30.

Donatella revealed that she and her family can afford to go to Nando’s at least three times a month, adding that it blew her mind when she found out that some people spend £80 at the popular chicken restaurant.

Taking to TikTok, the mum of two said that there is a “weird perception” that when you go to Nando’s everyone gets their own meal.

However, she said that her family go for a tapas style, and order lots of different plates to share.

Donatella explained that she and her husband Dan usually get a chicken each, and then give some of it to their children, as they won’t eat a full kids meal.

“Because our kids are so young, getting them a kids meal is actually a waste of money because they’re never going to eat that food”, she said.

The family also order a portion of loaded fries, because you get a “huge plate that everyone can share” and extra chicken, for just £8.

Either Donatella or Dan will also order two sharing sides, which the whole family will again share.

The mum, from London added that she buys bottomless soft drinks for herself and her husband, and just pour a tiny bit of it into a water glass for her children.

“There’s no way on planet earth they’re drinking £3.95 worth of soft drinks”, she said.

Donatella’s next tip is that she and her husband always order separately and each have their own Nando’s card, so that they can have double the amount of points.

With a Nando’s card, you get one chilli every day you spend £7 or more, and get a reward every time you hit three, six and 10 chillies.

“By having a Nando’s card each, we literally double up on the amount of free chicken we get, and when those chillies build up it means we can go to Nando’s and basically just eat for free.”

Donatella’s video, which was posted under the username @proud..weirdos, has likely left many people impressed, as it has racked up 467,000 views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.
