The former EastEnders actor will team up with best-selling food author Suzanne Mulholland, also known as The Batch Lady.

The duo will join forces for a brand new six-part series for the commercial network called Buy It, Batch It, Cook It.

In partnership with the discount supermarket chain Lidl, the duo will meet with families who need advice on budgeting.

They will explore how to make savings go even further as they attempt to help households with organisation and better meal planning.

Their plan is simple, as they aim to cut meal prep down to as little as one hour.

This will be possible by batch cooking, freezing, and storing multiple meals at one time.

For each family, Joe and Suzanne will create a customised menu to reflect their favourite cuisine as they seek to try and match their time saving goals.

Joe, 42, is a busy parent himself. as he shares three kids with his wife, Loose Women presenter Stacey Solomon, 34, as well as his older son Harry from a previous relationship.

He surprised viewers and culinary experts with his skills in the kitchen when he made the final three on Celebrity Masterchef in 2021.

The former reality star also released a cookbook, Joe’s Kitchen, which focused on making budget meals for the whole family.

Speaking about his excitement for the new show, he explained: “The last few years have seen every one of us juggling so many stresses, not least the rising cost of our food.

“Suzanne and I are hoping to give households the tools to not just save the pennies and the pounds, but also have more time to spend on being together as a family.”

His co-host Suzanne, has published four books in her own right, with a fifth on the way in January.

She added: “It’s a dream come true to be fronting a cookery TV series on Channel 4.

Inside Stacey Solomon's Pickle Cottage

STACEY Solomon splashed out a massive £1.2million on Pickle Cottage - and Joe Swash didn't put in a penny.

She solely stumped up the cash for their Tudor-style Essex property, which is set in 2.5 acres and boasts an outdoor swimming pool.

The former X Factor star and Joe live there with Zachary, Leighton, Rex, Rose, and Belle.

It’s not known why Stacey went alone, as ex-EastEnders actor Joe is reportedly worth over £1million, but has also been made bankrupt twice in 2009 and 2013.

Shrewd Stacey has shown she’s a dab hand at running a wide range of successful businesses including TV, books, clothing and homeware ranges.

Her main firm Key Map Entertainments is worth just shy of £3million – and she’s also branched out into cosmetics.

The former X Factor contestant registered the company Belle & Rose Ltd, named after her youngest two daughters.

“When I started The Batch Lady, I never imagined that it would inspire such a following let alone lead to my face on bestselling books and primetime TV.

“I’m really excited to work with Joe to change the lives of families around the UK one batch at a time.”

The network is also looking for contributors and families to sign up to the show, which they can do here.

Buy It, Batch It, Cook It will premiere on Channel 4 in January 2025.
