Report: Sevilla are about to make an offer to Spurs to sign 23-year-old

Sevilla are reportedly about to send an offer to Tottenham, but they are only willing to sanction a loan with an option to buy next summer.

Bryan Gil is set to leave Tottenham

It appears that Bryan Gil’s time in North London is about to come to an end this summer, after a string of loan spells away from the club and a consistent lack of minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham officially announced this week that Gil had been left out of the travelling squad for the club’s pre-season tour of Asia to explore a potential transfer away.

The club wrote: ‘Bryan Gil and Sergio Reguilon have been granted permission not to travel in order to explore prospective transfer opportunities.’

Sevilla are interested in Bryan Gil

Vamos Mi Sevilla FC now report that Sevilla are readying a bid to try and sign Bryan Gil from Spurs, three years on from selling him to the North London club in the first place.

The report claims that Sevilla’s offer will only be a loan with an option to buy, although that could become an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. Either way, Sevilla do not want to pay more than €6m (£5m) to re-sign their former player.

This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported that Girona have opened talks with Tottenham regarding Bryan Gil, although it remains to be seen whether that would be a loan or a permanent exit.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It was time for Bryan Gil to leave 12 months ago, so a transfer simply has to happen this summer.

I don’t think Tottenham can expect much money for him, but £5m seems very low. I would expect something closer to £10m in a loan with an obligation to buy.
