Disneyland will keep Deadpool G-rated in Avengers Campus

Marvel fans who never thought $#&%@ Deadpool could appear in &$%@# Disneyland are about to have their #@&$% dreams come true — and the guest interactions are going to be @#$%& hilarious.

A Deadpool meet-and-greet character will appear for a limited time starting Friday, July 26 in Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure.

The new Marvel character appearance in DCA will be part of a movie tie-in with the new “Deadpool & Wolverine” film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman debuting in theaters on Friday.

While some superhero content from Disney films and Disney+ is geared toward a mature audience, any character appearances in Disney theme parks will offer an experience and interaction appropriate for guests of all ages, according to Disneyland officials.

The foul-mouthed superhero has starred in a series of R-rated Marvel movies.

“If he doesn’t swear at me the magic is ruined,” Princesa Tiger Lily wrote on Instagram.

Marvel characters tend to interact and talk with visitors in Avengers Campus — but Deadpool’s mask could allow him to remain silent and pantomime responses like Minnie, Donald or Goofy.

“Is he allowed to swear?” Namor wrote on Instagram. “Cause I wanna see him cuss out Mickey.”

A G-rated version of Deadpool would not prevent Disneyland visitors from cursing at or near the quick-healing mercenary with a twisted sense of humor — and posting video of their exchanges to social media.

“Can we make jokes?” JayCee wrote on Instagram. “Or is he family friendly?”

Disneyland has not yet announced if Deadpool’s beloved chimichangas will be added to the shawarma cart in the Marvel themed land.
